Toddlers develop coordination, language, and independence through purposeful activities and structured play. In our classrooms, children practice problem solving, social interaction, and self-confidence in ways that feel natural and fun.
Our Corcoran preschool program supports reading, math, science, art, and practical life skills through hands-on learning. Children build focus, refine motor skills, and gain confidence while exploring the Montessori curriculum.
Our kindergarten program deepens literacy, critical thinking, and leadership skills. Children apply what they have learned and prepare for future academic success in a supportive school community.
Our Latch Key program provides before and after school care for children through age 8, with extended supervision and loving care in our excellent facilities. We absolutely love Step by Step! The staff is incredible—so warm, caring, and attentive. They really go above and beyond to create a nurturing environment for the kids. This school has done nothing but exceed expectations for our family. From the knowledgeable, patient teaching staff to the well planned and organized activities for the students, we love Step by Step! They keep the students engaged all summer as well with water days, ice cream trucks, tie dye activities, and bringing events in-house. The teachers take the time to meet one on one when needed to discuss any of your child’s needs and truly get to know each and every kid. From day one, I have zero worries leaving the care of my children with the staff. We were beyond lucky to have found Step by Step Corcoran!

Great school, amazing teachers and very informative and educational syllabus. Both my kids have progressed in their mental development so much in the past 2 years. We love Miss Chelsea who has played an important role in shaping my elder son's life. Where do I begin? The feeling of complete trust dropping off your kiddos at a daycare is the best way to describe it. The teachers are attentive and caring. The facility is clean and welcoming for both parents and children. The activities and curriculum are engaging and as a result of this, I have seen so much growth in both of my children. My only regret is not enrolling my kiddos in Step By Step sooner.

My preschooler absolutely loves going to his new school. His first day, drop off was terrible due to his prior experiences of other centers. When I picked him up from daycare that first day, he told me how much fun he had and about his “nice teachers”. He says his teachers aren’t angry, and his room isn’t dirty like his old school. Every day since, he walks right into the center and his classroom without any issues. I’m never walking into chaos at drop off or pick up, it’s very nice seeing the teachers having calm control over their classrooms. Beyond thankful to have my kids in a place where I know they’re being loved and cared for!

Our first experience with daycare centers were kinda awful. We made the decision to change facilities and found step by step in Brooklyn park. From the very first day til now, I gave never felt more comfortable and confident leaving my children at step by step.

It's a great safe environment. I feel like the teachers are very competent and great with the children. Also, they have a bunch of fun events during the month that get the kids involved and excited. I love this location and I honestly am so happy that my kids are enrolled.
